Low delay 16Kbits/s CELP according to the ITU-T Recommendation G.728.

 It was a real-time implementation on a DSP platform (MASC 3500 was used).

 

Dual rate speech coder transmitting at 5.3 Kbits/s and 6.3 Kbits/s according to the ITU-T Recommendation G.723.1.

Low bit-rate CELP speech decoder (a number of sampling rates : 8 KHz, 11.025 KHz, 16 KHz).

Basic characteristics of my work on this project were simulations and perceptual testing of modifications that were introduced on the initial algorithm (6.3Kbit/s G.723.1)(MASC 3500 was used).

 

Modified ADPCM (a number of sampling rates : 8 KHz, 11.025 KHz, 16 KHz).

The task was to design an algorithm based on a similar idea like the ADPCM but to be optimized for the target DSP platform. Simulations and perceptual testing were a major part of the designed process (MASC 3500 was used). The solution was commercialized as an optional feature of the MP3 decoder (see picture of the product that applies the Modified ADPCM).
