Mobile Computing
This area covers mobile computing middleware and applications from a computer science perspective. Specific topics include middleware for location-aware mobile services, transport-layer protocols, content caching in mobile networks, context-sensitive and location-aware mobile applications, etc. System scenarios under consideration include heterogeneous wireless LAN/cellular systems as well as large scale sensor networks for pervasive applications.

Current projects:

  • Infostations caching for media services
  • Context- and location-aware applications
  • Security and privacy in ad-hoc sensor networks
  • Software models for pervasive computing
  • Content delivery in mobile networks
