Brief Bio

I am Joydeep Acharya, presently a doctoral student at WINLAB, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Rutgers University. I am currently working under Prof Roy D Yates in the area of Resource Allocation and Physical Layer Synchronization aspects of Cognitive Radios based on Dynamic Spectrum Access.


During my masters in WINLAB, I had worked under Dr. Roy D. Yates, on information theoretic analysis of two dimensional spreading based signaling over doubly dispersive channels and was co-advised by Dr. Leo Razoumov


I received my B.Tech degree in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur  in 2001, after which I have worked one year as Research Consultant at GS Sanyal School of Telecommunications  , IIT Kharagpur in the project 'Physical Layer Design issues in WCDMA'


My broad research interests are mathematical modeling and system design of physical and MAC layers of wireless communicatio n systems.
